Our Philosophy

We believe that every child has the right to feel secure whilst in our care and for the families to know that their child is safe and protected at all times. Quality Education and Care is about providing a safe environment for them to play, develop their skills, build a sense of identity and promote their abilities.

It is important to us that the child and family feel a sense of comfort in our environment to increase their understanding that they always belong. Feeling comfortable in the Centre allows the Educators to connect with the child on a personal level to enable them to discover a sense of wonder and to encourage them to challenge themselves.

The support of a child gives them the holistic understanding that they can dream, believe and be the decision makers in all matters that affect them. Without support, a child cannot be free to explore, shape opinions and create beliefs that become the foundation of their life experiences. Promoting a child’s health and safety and valuing the importance of the early childhood years is necessary for them to learn and grow without hesitation.

Secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships form the foundation between Educator, child, family and community and these relationships are paramount in providing positive outcomes in a child’s development. Our curriculum has provided us a wonderful platform to build and maintain these relationships to stay connected with each other and respect and support the role of parents and families within the community.

Children learn through play and what better way to interact with children than to play with them. This provides them the ability to learn and develop whilst having fun. Interacting with the children provides them a sense of belonging and confidence that promotes growth and ability and gives a positive quality outcome every day.

We love being a part of the child’s life while they grow and develop their personalities. Reaching milestones and being able to communicate with the Educators demonstrates a sense of trust, security and self-awareness.

You are welcome to join us in our home away from home.

Our Goals

  1. To provide a balanced play and interest based program that covers the five areas of children’s development (emotional, social, physical, language and cognitive) and also includes play, attachment, care giving, transitions and routines.
  2. To provide a safe and secure environment that allows children to learn and develop at their own pace while providing support and respect for their individual needs.
  3. Through spontaneous planning we recognise children’s interests and their special competencies and provide a range of opportunities for the children to explore and experiment within the environment during small and large group, planned and spontaneous, indoor and outdoor and active and passive experiences.
  4. To provide an inclusive environment that respects and supports differing cultures, religions, beliefs, languages and abilities
  5. To facilitate children’s developing self help skills and growing sense of independence in a relaxed and supportive environment.
  6. To optimise learning opportunities for the children by providing a wide variety of equipment and learning materials that are relevant to developmental stages, obtainable and reflect the diversity of those within the group.
  7. Families are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of their children’s daily experiences providing a link between the centre and home.
